As many of you may know, I am no longer a New Yorker, so please check out my new blog A Library of My Own. If you are just reading Life and Times, you are missing out. Thanks!

Snowing Where?

This is just a quick shout out to my previous hometown, Las Vegas, who recently got dumped with snow. Check out the article here. Friends have been sending me fun snowy photos and of their kids building snowmen (a rarity for them I am sure).

We're getting prepared to get dumped on as well. NYC is predicting six or so inches tomorrow. I'd complain but then we might have a white Christmas...which I love.

Is there snow where you live?

  1. It's so weird to see the Welcome to Las Vegas sign all snowy! There's no snow where I live yet, but by tomorrow at this time, there ought to be a decent amount. I'm looking forward to it!

  2. There is snow here, but not alot. It's the ice that I hate.

I'm actually hoping for a green Christmas. We're leaving that afternoon to drive to my moms, about 4 hours away, and don't want to deal with road conditions. Kansas is HORRIBLE about clearing roads.

It can snow all it wants the day after! I'm taking plenty of books to keep me busy! (very small town, not much else to do)

  3. Well, I can see snow on the mountains in the distance ... if there were snow here we'd be very disappointed, since we moved from New York to get away from it! ;-)

  4. Its crazy seeing snow in Malibu and Las Vegas. We were suppose to get 8 inches but got ice instead. I hate ice - give me the snow! Hope you're getting it now.

  5. Since I'm right over the Hudson from you, we got hit with a decent amount of snow on Friday (and more predicted for early tomorrow morning). Stay warm!
